During his former years at Texas Christian University, Roland began developing FrogTutoring in the confines of his student apartment with the aid of a single laptop. After graduating from TCU with a BS degree in Biochemistry in 2008, Roland finally founded his first company FrogTutoring a year later. FrogTutoring provides one-on-one private home tutoring and now successfully operates in more than 33 cities across the nation. Roland is now building on his entrepreneurial enterprise and has co-founded his second company, Amumba, which specialises in creating an online, learning-centric social network between Mentors and Mentees. He also serves as President of a community clinic called Salvation and Deliverance Integrated Health Center, which is located in a rural village in Andek, west of Cameroon’s capital Yoaunde. In his free time, Roland involves himself in missionary activities while his passion is soccer and his favourite team is Arsenal... of course!

Michael Sherrod's expert input is not only privileged, but invaluable for what Amumba is ultimately striving for. His involvement, though recent, has already setup the trampoline from which Amumba will make huge leaps towards ensuring that its web-based platform reaches each and every student, teacher, and mentor. Michael’s professional credentials are impressive and unfortunately too long to list; but most noteworthy though include the roles of Founder, Black Dove Media; President and CEO,Examiner.com, 2008-2009; Vice-President of Ancestry.com, 2005-2008; and Vice-President and General Manager of AOL Communities Worldwide. Michael's forte also involves contributing for both paper-based and web-based journalistic outlets including Publisher, TexasTribune.org; National Advising Director, Fort Worth Star-Telegram; and Publisher, Dallas Business Courier.Clearly Michael’s national and International commitments position him high within the corporate echelon.Michael earned his BA degree from University of Notre Dame in 1974 with an interdisciplinary focus in Philosophy, History, Theology, and Political Science; his MA degree in Journalism and Publishing from the University of Missouri in 1976; and later pursued his Executive MBA degree from Texas Christian University in 2010.Beekeeping, trap and skeet shooting, science fiction, and cycling are his non-corporate interests.
Amumba uses modern technology to provide an intuitive, engaging way for parents, teachers, and anyone who cares about a student’s success to encourage that student toward making positive changes in their behavior, and their attitudes toward learning.
To create a platform that allows anyone, regardless of race, language, social status, income or geographic location, to be a positive influence on an individual child’s life.
To reward hard work, passion, lifelong learning, and personal achievement through positive reinforcement, constructive feedback and engagement with the global community.
